Integral Europe is Thriving
This is the first of two editions of the Integral Europe newsletter detailing a selection of some of the fantastic integral activities that are already flourishing around Europe. You may not have realised just how much is going on! These newsletters are part of a larger series introducing the project, leading up to the launch of Integral Europe later this spring! We're very excited to see so many of you signing up for the newsletter, and if by chance you missed the first edition, you can access it here.
The amount of emails we've received since the last newsletter, from people around Europe who are ploughing the integral furrow, has been nothing short of inspiring. The momentum is gathering, and it’s so exciting to have you involved!

Integral in the UK
Integral activities in the UK are really on the up, with some very exciting projects popping up in different locations. There are a growing number of integral groups and meet-ups including the rapidly expanding Brighton Integral Salon, the recently established Integral Salon North West, and the long running London Integral Circle.
Excitingly, it also has one of the only dedicated Integral practice centres in Europe in the form of the Integral Life Centre. The centre offers regular workshops in areas such as ‘Introduction to Ken Wilber’, ‘Working with Shadow’, ‘Big Mind’ and ‘Three Body Workout’. They are also actively involved in the preparation of several accredited academic Integral courses which should be available soon.

“Christine and I believe passionately in demonstrating our understanding of Integral, so we try and live our lives as an ongoing ILP. We have no work and home life, we just are.”
- Ian McDonald, co-founder of the Integral Life Centre

Highly active is London's branch of EnlightenNext who run regular workshops and talks at their Islington centre. This weekend sees Andrew Cohen visit the centre himself to talk about the Higher We as part of his European tour.
Also flourishing is the Brighton based Integral College, offering an in-depth cognitive and experiential integral course spread over a 6 month period. The programme, taught by experienced practitioners James Clifton and Rex Brangwyn, is set up to "help you know, then grow, then manifest integral in your self, relationships, work and world.” The course runs out of the Integral Clinic, and is soon to run a level two version for advanced students.

Scandinavia Awakens
Scandinavian integral activities -- like their British counterparts -- are really starting to gain momentum. The Stockholm salon has recently experienced a surge in attendance, and alongside the Malmö salon/practice group that was formed last year, Sweden now has two well established integral groups. Norway, not wanting to fall behind its sibling nation, recently created a Norwegian network
. Copenhagen, the largest Scandinavian city, is still leading the way with a large and regular salon, as well as an EnlightenNext centre and a Danish Centre for Human Emergence.
Furthermore, there are several skilled practitioners applying integral principles in their daily work. One good example is Nick Drummond, a social scientist based in Malmö who works as a leadership consultant in educational settings ranging from preschool to university. Drawing upon principles from Andrew Cohen, Spiral Dynamics and AQAL, Nick has achieved some impressive results in Swedish schools with his Nordic Integral organisation, and demonstrated that integral principles applied by an integral consciousness can achieve concrete results in a pre-integral environment.

The Spanish Integral Association
The Spanish Integral Association, founded and run by the dynamic Raquel Torrent hosts a range of integral activities throughout Spain, most notably its annual Integral conference. The 5th conference ran at the end of last year and attracted over 300 attendees, with 14 guest speakers. It will be followed by the 6th conference running at the end of this year, with the Centre for Human Emergence – Netherlands’ own Peter Merry confirmed as a guest speaker.
